The founder Bharati Malnad in love with the ancient Indian methods and benefits of using natural ingredients on the skin, realized that Skin Wellness, in its pure and natural form was somewhere missing, for some its lack of right knowledge and for many its affordability. The use of chemicals in existing skin products, including hers, has left many suffering from allergies, skin reactions and an outburst of skin related ailments. She decided to change her lifestyle and make it more plant based and unlock nature’s secret for her skin wellness. She decided to learn methods of formulations using pure and natural ingredients procured from the best and authentic sources. This led to a thought – What if products with natural origin ingredients or plant extracts were made cost effective to one and all. After actively engaging with renowned Dermatologists and experts to unlock the magical power of plants for Skin Wellness, Raissa was born!

Derived From Natural Extracts

All the ingredients used are of the highest quality range and certified raw materials that are responsibly sourced to bring you quality formulas. Each ingredient is subject to rigorous selection and quality control validated by a team of experts. 

Our Shea and Cocoa Butters are organic and extracted through environmentally sustainable methods and no child labour is involved in the supply chain. Our Glycerin is Absolute natural and Kosher certified.

Alcohol Free Fragrance

Fragrances could occasionally cause allergic reactions, the fragrance composition that Raissa products comply with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) standards. The safe to use certificate is the testimony to each of our fragranced leave-on product gone through clinical tests.

Raissa Fragrances are alcohol-free.

Not Tested On Animal

Raissa is against the use of animals to test beauty products, and we do not test our raw materials or products on animals at any point of product development or manufacturing process. All our supply partners are also required to adhere to this strict and rigorous standard.

Recyclable Packaging

We are aware and mindful of plastic pollution, and the only way is by being environmentally responsible. Raissa is working to give back to mother earth in three ways:

  • Responsible and thus recyclable Packaging,
  • Responsible sourcing,
  • Better Waste management.

All the bottles are HDPE, 100% recyclable, and wherever possible we challenge our packaging partners to meet the same standards. Our cartons are made of craft paper.

All our packaging is manufactured in India thereby reducing a lot of carbon footprint.

  • Why Raissa?

    Raissa Products are curated inhouse with just two things in mind, People and Mother nature. Most of the ingredients have PLANT ORIGIN or Natural source, free from harsh chemicals like parabens, silicones, paraffin, BHTs, sulphates, triclosan’s or any other ingredients that are not skin friendly. Our constant endeavour is to offer you natural formulas giving priority to naturally sourced ingredients and botanical extracts, making it more biodegradable and reducing its impact on environment.

  • Why are Plant based products important?

    Skin Wellness, in its pure and natural form is somewhere missing, some advertising commercials showing overnight results after using artificially made skin and hair care products may many a times influence our purchases or sometimes we just forget to give our skin the love and care it deserves.  The use of harsh chemicals in a few the existing skin products, leave many suffering from allergies, skin reactions and an outburst of skin related ailments. Imagine your glycerin coming from animal fat or petroleum, or your soap having animal fat or tallow.

  • How do we avoid toxic products?

    Conscious shopping, taking couple of minutes to look at the packaging, carefully reading the ingredients the product is made of. They might have their INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) names, which could make it difficult, online research will help you and at the same time leave you surprised of the ingredients that you’ve been slathering on your skin all this while. Small step of awareness will take you a long way in terms of good skin and hair care

  • Ingredients not used in Raissa and to watch out for

    • Parabens – used as a preservative and suspected to be an endocrine disruptor.
    • DMDM Hydantoin - used as a preservative and classified as a Carcinogenic Mutagenic and Reprotoxic (CMR).
    • BHT (Butylated Hydroxy anisole) - used as an antioxidant, preservative, and suspected to be endocrine disruptor.
    • BHA (Butylated Hydroxytoluene) - used as a preservative and suspected to be an endocrine disruptor.
    • Triclosan – used as a preservative, and suspected to be a endocrine disruptor.
    • Silicones – synthetic polymers used to impart smooth and silky feel, suspected of  immune system disorders.
    • Benzophenone 3- known as BP3, suspected to be an endocrine disruptor and organ system toxicity.
